QXethomeen T15 is a a tallow amine ethoxylate. It is a nonionic surfactant or emulsifier compound commonly used in various industrial and agricultural applications. It is known for its ability to help mix oil-based and water-based substances, making it valuable in the formulation of herbicides, pesticides, and other agricultural chemicals. POE (15) tallow amine helps these chemicals disperse and adhere to plant surfaces effectively.
Tallow amines are derived from animal fats based fatty acids via the nitrile process. These tallow amines are obtained as mixtures of C12-C18 hydrocarbons, which in turn are derived from the abundant fatty acids in animal fat. The main source of tallow amine is from animal fats, but vegetable based tallow is also available and both can be ethoxylated to give non-ionic surfactants having similar properties.
1. Widely used as emulsifier, wetting agent, and dispersant. Its weak cationic properties make it widely used in pesticide emulsions and suspension formulations. It can be used as a wetting agent to promote the absorption, permeation, and adhesion of water-soluble components, and can be used alone or in combination with other monomers for pesticide emulsifier production. Can be used as a synergistic agent for glyphosate water.
2. As an anti-static agent, softener, etc., it is widely used in fields such as textiles, chemical fibers, leather, resins, paint and coatings.
3. As an emulsifier, hair dye, etc., applied in the field of personal care products.
4. As a lubricant, rust inhibitor, corrosion inhibitor, etc., applied in the field of metal processing.
5. As a dispersant, leveling agent, etc., applied in fields such as textiles, printing and dyeing.
6. As an anti-static agent, it is applied in ship paint.
7. As emulsifier, dispersant, etc., it is used in polymer lotion.
